Underpass2.2
by Ben Levitt

Hello fellow Marathon pfhreaks!
This is a Map/Physics combo that I find pretty darn hard to beat.

Underpass
The idea for the map came to me while sitting in the dentist's chair last week. I was thinking about bridges and other assorted phasing ideas, and thought that this shape would be cool. It is. I then surrounded the "underpass" with some other cool stuff... see for yourself. Try to find all the secrets before your opponents do! (This map also works really well for testing out physics models. It has all the weapons, all the powerups, and most of the nasties.)

SuperFly Physics Model
My physics model tagged along for the ride because my friends and I all like it a whole bunch. I made a point not to make it too wacky. It has only a few subtle, yet powerful changes:

The pistol is silenced it makes a different sound, and no one else can hear it. This is cool because it doesn't wake up sleeping nasties when, er... if you miss them.

The SPANKER's second trigger launchs bombs! Bombs are just really slow rockets with no contrails that are affected by gravity. Cool for hitting people from ledges. Try dropping one while you're running when someone is following you.

The flamethrower's second trigger is a jet pack. Look up and get a running start to fly. When you get good with it, you can switch quickly to the SPANKER and drop bombs on the poor flame-throwerless bums on the ground as you fly over their land-locked suits.

The alien weapon seems to shoot normally untill... you try the second trigger! The second trigger shoots the same stuff, but in a vertical spread. Using both triggers at the same time creates a "+" shape of shots. This deadly "cross of death" takes out a hulk in under two seconds on my 7100/66.

Please e-mail me if you find bugs, or think of improvements.
Loads of thanks to Bungie for Marathon, and Steve I. for Phorte!

Have fun!
